Kinora Terms of Service

Last updated: 02 December 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to Kinora. By accessing or using our services, including our online health questionnaires and contraceptive personalization tools ("Services"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If at any time you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Services.

2. Who We Are

Kinora is operated by Kinora Ltd, registered in England & Wales.

You may contact us at:
📩 Kinorahealth@gmail.com

3. Eligibility to Use Our Services

You agree that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age,
  • You are a resident of the UK (or have access to UK-based contraception support),
  • You are capable of making independent health decisions,
  • You understand English sufficiently to comprehend the questions and recommendations.

We do not provide services to minors, and we do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.

4. Consent Before Providing Personal Data

Kinora currently does not require creating an account. We may request the following information only with explicit consent:

  • name
  • email address
  • phone number
  • self-reported health and wellbeing information

You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing Kinorahealth@gmail.com.

If consent is withdrawn, your data will be deleted unless legal or clinical retention obligations apply.

5. Nature of the Kinora Service (Important Disclaimer)

  • Kinora does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Kinora does not issue prescriptions or make clinical decisions.
  • Our hormonal/side-effect-based personalization algorithm is intended for informational guidance only.
  • All final contraceptive decisions must be made by a licensed clinician or prescribing pharmacist, not by Kinora.

You agree to consult a suitably qualified healthcare professional before initiating, changing, or stopping contraception.

6. Accuracy of Information Provided

You agree that:

  • You will answer questions truthfully and accurately,
  • You will not misrepresent medical history or symptoms,
  • You take full responsibility for the consequences of providing incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information.

7. Data Storage & Security

Any contact or health information you submit is stored securely. We retain your data only as long as you give explicit consent.

If you withdraw consent, we securely delete the data except where legal or regulatory obligations require retention.

8. No Account System – Communication Terms

Because users are not required to create accounts:

  • communication may occur through email or SMS if consented,
  • we will not send marketing unless explicitly opt-in,
  • we will never sell, trade, or rent user contact details.

9. Third-Party Partners

If Kinora forwards your anonymised data or symptom profile to clinical partners or pharmacies for evaluation, it will only be done:

  • with your explicit consent,
  • for clinical decision support,
  • with strict data protection obligations.

Kinora is not responsible for decisions made by external clinicians, pharmacists, medical providers, or laboratories. Their own Terms and Privacy Policies apply.

10. Content and Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Services for fraudulent or illegal purposes,
  • interfere with or disrupt system functionality,
  • attempt to reverse-engineer algorithms or proprietary tools,
  • submit harmful code, automated scraping, or brute-force requests.

We reserve the right to restrict access due to abuse, breach, or cybersecurity threats.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, tools, code, algorithms, branding, and materials provided through Kinora are the intellectual property of Kinora Health Ltd.

You may not copy, redistribute, commercialise, or create derivative works of our content without written consent.

12. Service Availability

We make reasonable efforts to maintain availability of our Services. However, we do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted access,
  • error-free operation,
  • flawless content accuracy.

Service availability may be suspended temporarily due to maintenance, security, or technical reasons.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Kinora is not liable for medical outcomes, physical harm, emotional distress, or financial losses resulting from reliance on our contraceptive recommendations.
  • Kinora is not liable for consequences of inaccurate or incomplete user-submitted data.
  • Kinora does not assume clinical responsibility — prescribing clinicians do.

This does not limit liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Users will be notified of significant material changes when contacting us or using the Services. Continued use implies acceptance of updated Terms.

15. Account Termination / Data Deletion

Even though no user accounts are created, users may request:

  • deletion of their data,
  • cessation of communications,
  • cessation of all Service interactions.

Requests may be made at: 📩 Kinorahealth@gmail.com

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts. We strongly encourage mediation or negotiated resolution before litigation.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Kinora regarding the Services.
